The Victoria Falls has a width of 1.7 km (1 mile) and height of 108 m (360 ft), forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world.


The Victoria Falls are on the Zambezi river.
The falls are shared between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

世界最高的瀑布─天使瀑布(Angel Falls)
又名安赫爾瀑布或者丘倫梅魯瀑布

瀑布在委內瑞拉與圭亞那的高原密林深處。這個地區的熱帶雨林非常茂密，人不可能步行抵達瀑布的底部。雨季時，河流因多雨而變深，人們可以乘船進入。在一年的其他時間裡，只能從空中觀賞瀑布。

天使瀑布位於卡羅尼河的源流丘倫河（Churun）上，河水從蓋亞那高原奧揚特普伊山（Auyan Tepui）的陡壁直瀉下來，瀑布可分為兩段，一段大約先落下807米，落在一個巖架上，再從巖架上落下約172米，下面則是一個寬152米的大水池，這樣的落差達979米，大約是尼亞加拉瀑布高度的16倍，可謂是世界上「落差最大」的瀑布。

而1937年，美國探險家詹姆斯•安赫爾（James Crawford Angel）在空中對瀑布進行考察時，但不幸墬機意外身亡，當地政府為了紀念他，因此把該瀑布命名為「安赫爾瀑布」，目前這裡無陸路可通，只有搭乘飛機飛越上空才能一睹它神秘的風貌。

Angel Falls is the world's highest free-falling, freshwater waterfall at 979 m (3,212 ft), with an uninterrupted drop of 807 m (2,648 ft), located in the Canaima National Park, Venezuela.

This next waterfall consists of about 270 falls along 2.7 kilometers of the Iguazu River. Some of the individual falls are up to 82 meters in height, though the majority are about 64 meters.
